Job Summary

The position isresponsible for managing all physician related activities within assignedclinical service line/s. A primary purpose of this position will be workingdirectly with service line medical director(s) and physician advisors toadvance HealthTrust’s clinical Agenda. Integrating and coordinating Physicianadvisors to identify/manage initiatives to improve utilization of physicianpreference items.Coordinates activities around meeting/call schedules,preparation of materials, project tracking and project management.


Duties:

  • Assists in coordinating andmanaging projects from concept visualization to completion: Oversight ofproject status, program deadlines, team member accountability, identifying anyareas of concern or problems with associated solutions to other business unitpartners/​internal customers as needed:
  • Assists Clinical Evidence teamwith coordination of national agreement contracting projects and meetingcoordination.
  • Coordination with physicianadvisor team on physician input
  • Assists Clinical Education teamwith coordination of educational events (HTU, Innovation Summit, cadaver andother courses). Leads logisticalcomponents of department specific meetings (pre-meeting, on-site, post-meeting).
  • Coordinatesystems/processes for physicians to be involved in clinical resource utilization/selectionfor HealthTrust
  • Manage physician utilization
  • Project management of physicianled product standardization and utilization initiatives
  • Assists Service Line MedicalDirector(s) with coordination of content including developing presentations
  • Supports Service Line MedicalDirector(s) in the flow of information and education to HealthTrust Members andtheir physicians to better understand economic considerations in healthcarepurchasing and supply chain.
  • Coordinate education andconsultative support to the IDN and facility level.
  • Identifies and manages data pointsand deliverables for projects to determine outcomes are achieved.
  • Manage a serviceline within HealthTrust Physician Advisors program in support of Service LineMedical Director(s)
  • Manages thePhysician Advisors project tracker and track Physician Advisors’ hours andexpenses
  • Managesdistribution lists and physician advisor rosters
  • Track outcomesand strategic and financial impact of Physician Advisors Program
  • Assist withdevelopment of the strategic vision of the Physician Advisors program
  • Assists ServiceLine Medical director in creation of internal publications such as newsletters,releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, member portals,video, special projects and assignments
  • Assist withonboarding of physician advisors.


Job Requirements

Education

  • AccreditedCollege Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, orMarketing required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience

  • 5-7 years’experience working with physicians in an office or clinical setting.
  • Current workingknowledge of GPO, IDN, and facility operations preferred.
  • Demonstratedability to coordinate and manage clinical education events from concept visualizationto completion
  • Experience inproject management.
  • General knowledgeof the medical device market.
  • Ability to travel– 20%.
