Job Description

Job Summary – The Manager of Supply Chain Assessment Implementations is responsible fordirecting, implementing, integrating, and optimizing all HCA facility-basedSupply Chain Assessments for both new acquisitions and existing facilities. This position has overall, company-wideresponsibility and oversight of Supply Chain assessment integration activities insupport of HCA existing facilities, acquisitions and third parties. This position is also responsible for identifyingand recommending new process or enhancements to improve facility-basedperformance on receiving, distribution, inventory management, and replenishmentprocesses. This position is expected tocontinuously evaluate, trial solutions, and develop proposals for ways toimprove Supply Chain operations and reduce supply cost as well as standardizeSupply Chain policies and procedures across all HCA operating divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing standardized operating assessments for existingHCA facilities and acquisitions

  • Responsible for implementing assessments for new facility acquisitions

  • Maintaining, revising, exercising, and executing assessment plans for facility-basedsupply chain operations and optimization of existing policies and relatedprocesses

  • Driving national-level standardized processes for operations and systemutilization for both internal and external customers

  • Lead operational assessments for facility-based supply chain operations

  • Global responsibility to streamline and drive process and systematic efficienciesto improve effectiveness of requisitioning, receiving, inventory management,and distribution of all supplies within facilities supported by HCA SupplyChain

  • Lead companywide system standardization initiatives for HCA SupplyChain which includes identification/implementation of best practices, projectplans, policy and procedure, and supply reduction opportunities, this alsoincludes any future project that HCA may request

  • Identify and execute system improvement opportunities within HCA SupplyChain operations based on company standards and financial performanceindicators

  • Serve as subject matter experts on HCA’s SMART material managementsystem and point-of-use (POU) technology system to include responsibility for identifyingneeded functionality and enhancements

  • Work in conjunction with the appropriate teams to help establish/designtraining programs for both Supply Chain and hospital stakeholders to improvefacility-based supply chain performance

Job Requirements


College degree required

Experience/ Skills /Abilities

  • 5 years of Supply Chain Operations experience
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare and facility-based supply chain operations ( KPI’s, requisitioning, receiving, inventory management, and supply distribution)
  • Experience leading teams through change with successful results.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective business relationships with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Strong technical skills:
    • ERP systems (SAP, Oralce, etc.) preferred.
    • MicrosoftExcel – advanced user
    • Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio – proficient user
  • Travel up to 25%
