Job Summary

Responsible for supporting and maximizing the value of the AdvantageTrust group purchasing program to AdvantageTrust members. The Member Coordination Specialist responds to member inquiries, serves as key customer-service liaison to members, assists new members in completing applicable ‘letters of commitment’ and applicable ‘declaration forms’, validates and maintains member identification information from national databases. This job is located in the Schaumburg, IL satellite office.

Duties (included but not limited to)

  • Customer-service liaison for AdvantageTrust members.
  • Support new members through their AdvantageTrust implementation /on boarding process.
  • Assist in resolution of vendor product or service issues.
  • Coordinate with members to complete required ‘letters of commitments’ and ‘declaration forms’.
  • Handle complex and escalated member and vendor service issues.
  • Roster maintenance and marketing mailings.
  • Coordinate with members to obtain and validate Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) information, Health Industry Number (HIN) information, ship-to addresses and communicate it to applicable vendor contacts.
  • Generate and maintain Global Locator Numbers (GLN) for AdvantageTrust members.
  • Generate and communicate new member announcements and member eligibility letters to contract vendors.

Job Requirements

Education andExperience

  • B.A. / B.S. degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years’ customer interfacing experience required – healthcare experience, particularly healthcare group purchasing experience, a plus. Medical product knowledge highly desired. Experience working with physicians, surgery centers and long term care facilities is a plus.
