Job Summary


The Senior Manager, Learning & Development role is responsible for the quality design and delivery of strategic employee learning and development programs across the supply chain enterprise. Supply Chain Learning & Development efforts are focused on three key domains; operational excellence, high performing teams, and the leadership pipeline with targeted goals and deliverables designed for each. The Senior Manager role may be assigned to one dedicated domain or a combination based on the annual Learning & Development Plan and organizational priorities. The Senior Manager is a highly collaborative influencerleader able to coordinate efforts across Supply Chain business teams, IT&S Learning Solutions, Human Resources, Leadership & Organizational Development to execute employee learning and development programs to sustain employee engagement, performance excellence and a learning culture.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the strategy, design, development, implementation, and innovation of learning and development programs across the supply chain enterprise.
  • Collaborate with corporate and division supply chain leadership teams to design targeted competency development programs for team leaders and emerging leaders within the organization.
  • Manage Supply Chain University (SCU) learning portal design, content, and job role learning plans aligned with HealthStream curricula to automate compliance to HLC transcripts.
  • Apply leadership insights and learning to best understand the organization’s succession planning strategy and potential growth or attrition impact on supply chain workforce.
  • Develop custom training materials that integrate adult learning theory, interactive activities, simulations, job aids and competency-based assessments and evaluations (reaction, learning and application, behavior) to operationalize core competency behaviors and performance.
  • Facilitate select onsite and virtual training sessions for learning and development programs, and assigns Facilitator(s) to support training events across multiple locations.
  • Produce annual Supply Chain Day held in conjunction with the HealthTrust University conference.
  • Manage Associate Development Program(s) standardized curriculum, requirements, compliance dashboards/reports, monthly participant calls, and communications across all stakeholders including training Ambassadors at the facilities.
  • Host and facilitate Leadership Development Workshops (3) for the Associate Development Programs with standardized tracks for first and second year participants respectively.
  • Assess and analyze learning and development program results, feedback, and metrics to provide enhancements to program quality and engagement.
  • Socialize annual Learning & Development Plan with key internal stakeholders to ensure collective leadership input and alignment for executive leadership approval.
  • Measure learning outcomes, knowledge transfer, and performance improvement through qualitative and quantitative data analysis and share with leadership teams for feedback and potential enhancements to programs.
  • Communicate training events, results, and opportunities to supply chain enterprise to continually engage employees in learning and development.
  • Actively listen and seek feedback from all learning and development sponsors and participants to keep communications open and timely.
  • Manage direct report(s) to support implementation of the annual Learning & Development Plan, and professional development goals.
  • Make a concerted effort to stay abreast of supply chain operations and organizational/industry changes that may impact employee development.
  • Research and participate in various learning & development programs, groups or activities that will enable continued development of his/her technical skills and healthcare supply chain related knowledge.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree Preferred

Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) desired

Certified training facilitator or curriculum design certification (DDI, VitalSmarts) preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience; 5 years working in corporate learning, organizational development, or training preferred.
  • Experience with design, development, and delivery of staff or employee trainings.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Experience in a “matrix reporting” environment preferred.
  • Proven track record for meeting or exceeding business objectivesand goals.
