Job Summary- Directly responsible for the development and ongoing administration of all customer-facing clinical consultative offerings to HealthTrust members and non-members. The VP will continue to develop comprehensive clinical consultative solutions focused on service line management, reduction in care variation, cost analysis (particularly tied to physician preference items and custom sourcing), and value-based healthcare delivery. The VP will work closely with the AVP, Data & Analytics to maintain the clinical data warehouse and develop this entity as a key differentiator for HealthTrust. This position will work closely with the TI team to ensure continuity with strategic business objectives for internal and external stakeholders. The VP will also function as a liaison to the Workforce and Supply Chain insight Advisory Services teams. Working with the CMO, this position will help set the strategic direction for clinical initiatives within HealthTrust.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all clinical consultative offerings, and in collaboration with the CMO, sets the vision and strategy for our approach to providing clinical value to the HealthTrust membership
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of Clinical Advisory Services to assist members with service line assessments, care variation and cost analysis, engagement of physician and senior leaders, implement performance improvement strategies, and drive value-based care and a clinically integrated supply chain
  • Facilitate coordination and execution of clinical contracting and custom sourcing efforts
  • Identify opportunities for contracting category expansion and/or custom contracting engagements
  • Promote strong client relationship management to improve client satisfaction and support HealthTrust objectives. 
  • Assist HealthTrust Account Managers and Business Development teams in the identification of potential clients and provide support throughout the sales process, including preparation of proposals, scopes of work and pricing structures.
  • Develop standard data reporting and care redesign toolkits to provide members with actionable insight for clinical process improvement
  • Active participation on professional society organizations promoting HealthTrust’s mission and vision
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
Duties (included but not limited to)
  • Working with the CMO, establishes the strategic direction for the clinical consultative services agenda
  • Communicates HealthTrust’s clinical vision to the department and employees
  • Provides leadership, oversight and accountability for the operational effectiveness of the clinical consulting team
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for clinical assessments, data reporting, strategic recommendations and follow-up
  • Participate in regular meetings with HealthTrust leadership to discuss opportunities, strategic roadmaps, and value delivery tracking
  • Physician Engagement (HealthTrust Physician Advisors as well as consulting clients) as needed for education and to obtain feedback on clinical engagements
  • Collaborate with Clinical Directors on the preparation and presentation of final client assessments to respective leadership, to include both project timelines, deliverables, and value created

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare, finance or accounting is preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
10 years of healthcare experience, specifically related to clinical consulting expertise. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, data & analytics, supply chain, and healthcare consumerism (value-based care, provider and physician challenges etc.). Excellent skills and experience in working with physicians and healthcare executives.
Clinician experience is preferred but not necessary.
