Warehouse Pharmaceutical Handler
 
The pharmaceutical handler is responsible for ensuring thatall product that enters or leaves the pharmacy warehouse does so in anorganized, timely and efficient manner and under proper storage and labelingconditions.
 
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure proper packaging, labeling and staging of facilityorders
• Process, pick, pack, label, and stage all customer orderswhen needed
• Ensure that sufficient quantities of product are in thepick location
• Advise inventory analyst of out‐of‐stock or short dateditems upon discovery and rotate stock as necessary
• Perform physical inventory counts
• Meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines
 
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous warehousing, merchandising, or inventory experience,clinical experience preferred
• Able to use basic computer skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in warehouse temperatureenvironment 
 
EXPERIENCE
• 6 months-1 year previous warehouse, merchandising, orinventory experience
• Computer experience preferred
 
EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or GED required
 
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
 Valid State Driver’sLicense
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stoopingand stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficientto operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other officeequipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare andcommunicate appropriate reports. Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50pounds. Work is in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexibleand available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergencysituations.
 
OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposureto blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can be imagined orhypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposureto body fluids). Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as partof their employment to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or tobe potentially exposed in some other way.
