Job Summary – The Associate Cost Analyst will perform detailed, comprehensive analysis of a prospective or current member’s non-medical spend data. They will develop, revise and effectively communicate analytical summaries to both the sales team and customers to support the business unit’s needs. The analysts will also have the ability to acquire, assimilate and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources utilizing a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities – Work directly with prospective and current member data to provide analysis and summaries specific to the prospective member’s requirements in addition to developing new methods of presenting the information. The associate analyst will work directly with the sales team and with potential clients to help communicate and explain the results.

Duties (included but not limited to)

  • Work directly with the sales team, member services and vendors to capture and analyze data.
  • Complete analysis per end-user’s specific needs.
  • Develop new reporting foundations to enhance the illustration of the results.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests and analyses from management.
  • Work with the CoreTrust Sales team to measure pre-engagement estimated savings opportunity as well as the post-engagement savings validations.
  • Provide accurate and timely savings and opportunity analysis of vendor pricing proposals.
  • Interpret potential member’s existing contracts in order to cross-reference current pricing and services to an applicable CoreTrust contract pricing.
  • Interacts daily with internal and external individuals.


Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience
1-3 Years’ work experience as a data, business or financial analyst.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, relational databases, and reporting tools preferred.
Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms a plus.
