Ambulatory Surgery Division
Clinical ResourceDirector
Houston, TX market
Full-Time / Work from Home / Travel within assigned market is required.

Job Summary 

The Clinical ResourceDirector (CRD) serves as a Supply Chain clinical resource for ambulatorysurgery centers within the Houston, TX market.

  • Working with the Division Supply Chain Team, the CRD isresponsible for implementing the strategic direction of Supply Cost Managementwithin the assigned market.
  • Building strategic alliances with Surgery Center Executivestaff
  • Develops and implements strategies andprocesses for reducing supply expense/cost per case.
  • Develops and implements productstandardization and utilization in cooperation with facility Materials Managerand Leadership.
  • Collaborates with MM to monitorsutilization, cost data and identify waste, through Contract Management(CCM), SIP maximization, ongoing product reviews.
  • Actively interacts with the clinicians performing thedepartmental tasks to identify improvement opportunities and develop/implementcontinuous quality improvement process regarding supply/labor practices andrecommends cost reductions.
  • Actively participates and communicates with Medical Staffand clinical staff to monitor, communicate, and make improvements to utilizationprofiling.
  • Actively participates, communicates and educates allaffected departments, physicians,
  • Demonstrated quality improvement implementation skillswith regard to clinical processes and SKU management.
  • Ability to communicate with physicians and other clinicalhealthcare professionals.
  • Understanding of utilization and productivity in a varietyof clinical settings.


Job Requirements


• Current RN License required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5 years  of RN experience in acute care and/or ambulatory surgery setting.
• Surgery & Materials Management experience preferred
• Prior experience in successfully developing and implementing strategies / processes for reducing supply expense.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated personal time management/project prioritization skills.
