Job Summary –Responsible for leading ASEs (aggregated sourcing events) for the grouppurchasing organization in the area of commercial direct and indirect spend.   Objective is to manage the customerinteractions and participate with the sourcing team to deliver best in classindustry pricing and contract terms and conditions.  Position's key area of focus will be supportingsourcing initiatives via ASEs (aggregated sourcing events) and the datacollection, cleansing and compilation that are required in the ASE process aswell as be the primary communications portal between sourcing and members.  Support of Custom Sourcing Engagements willbe a major component of the position. While the position is focused on member facing tasks, it will also havea vendor relationship component as well as heavy project managementresponsibilities as well as contract negotiations.
KeyResponsibilities and Duties:
ASE Process: 

  • Under generalsupervision, the CoreTrust ASE Manager is responsible for the overall successof the sourcing process for their assigned portfolio, including marketresearch, member participation solicitation, vendor conditioning, contractlaunch and sales support of the contract. The CoreTrust ASE Manager will work closely with the CoreTrust VP, Solutionsand with the vertical category SME lead in a given category.

SupplierRelationship Management: 

  • Overseesupplier relationship during the sourcing process.  Participate in supplier business reviews andreview new products/technologies as they arise in assigned categories.


  • Communicateeffectively and efficiently with internal resources and external participants:
  • Communicatenegotiation status and results to internal groups, members and vendors.  Audiences include but are not limitedto:  board leads, legal, accountmanagement, global sourcing, private equity sponsors and sales.
  • Facilitateconversations with functional team during project kick-off to gather feedback,opinions, and alignment of resource needs to meet contracting initiativetimelines.  Functional team includesfinancial analysts, board leads, team lead, legal, communications, sales, etc.
  • Communicateproject overview to members, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicatethe history and capabilities of CoreTrust to the engaged vendors.
  • Communicatethe final outcome to the members, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in thesales process for categories for which the ASE was managed.


  • Collaborationrequired with functional team throughout ASE process:
    • with salesstaff on the launch of each project
    • with strategicsourcing on the strategy
    • withfinancial analysts on assessing the value created
    • with membersto gain alignment on participation and commitment
    • with contractanalysts on product/price loading of awarded agreements
    • withportfolio specialists and communications on contract launch/implementation
    • with accountmanagement in their member-facing duties related to the portfolio
    • with membersassembled to serve as an advisory committee in a given category

Financial& Operational Goals:

  • Meet orexceed financial and operational goals established in the annual contractingplan.


  • Resolvesupplier and/or customer issues, as escalated by Portfolio Specialist.
  • Maintainstrong customer relationships and build trust and respect by consistentlymeeting or exceeding customer expectations. Customers are internal and external.
  • Work withHealthTrust audit team to assist and facilitate engagement and finalization ofaudit projects.

Job Requirements

AccreditedCollege Bachelor's Degree required
1 to 3 yearsof relevant work experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience in strategic sourcing and negotiatinga variety of contracts in various different segments in the commercial space.
