JOB SUMMARY –

InVivoLink is a rapidly emerging health care technology company based in Nashville. Our next generation software helps hospitals and surgeons optimize care delivery for surgical patients. The Senior DBA plays a hands-on role in development of InVivoLink’s thought-leading clinically-integrated business platforms. This position plays a leading role in architecting, designing, implementing and maintaining our cutting edge software solutions.

DUTIES (included but not limited to) –

  • Responsible for the daily administration, support, maintenance, availability, patching, performance, security, and backups of InVivoLink’s SQL Server database infrastructure.
  • Lead in the architecture, design, development, and implementation of SQL Server databases.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze and provide options to resolve database, server performance and related problems.
  • Database performance monitoring and index tuning.
  • Focus on SQL Server scalability, availability, and recovery.
  • Troubleshoot database and server performance problems, including issues with SQL Server high availability solutions.
  • Act as subject matter expert for database development, performance, and scalability.
  • High quality SQL that conforms to design and functional requirements.
  • Provide support to other development engineers, QA personnel, and product management leaders.
  • Support staff in areas of expertise and domain knowledge.
  • Support and provide input for feature definition and analysis.
  • Present information on projects, initiatives or other subjects to peers and upper management.
  • Maintain and implement Disaster Recovery planning from a database point of view.
  • Code review database queries used in the system and provide optimizations.



Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering discipline

Experience
8 years relevant work experience
