Job Description

Job Summary – The position will be responsible for directing, implementing, and measuring all current and future fulfillment operations, including implementations, education training, CDC internal operations, and integration into facility operations. In addition, this position will be responsible for ongoing development and reengineering of future state supply chain strategies for the fulfillment organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations functions including receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, transportation, and inventory management. The role is also responsible for ensuring the success of all hiring, training, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of all warehouse employees. Inventory accuracy is the job of all warehouse associates.

Supervises – Inventory Analyst, Warehousing and Implant Manager, Pharmacy Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
-Manage the global supply chain performance metrics to ensure operational performance goals are met throughout the division.
-Identify and drive execution of continuous improvement opportunities within supply chain operations based on results of operating and financial performance indicators.
-Support division CEO in minimizing overall costs and maximizing the savings and benefits attributable to implementation of the supply chain business plan.
-Identify and develop future strategic plans associated with the Company’s / Division’s warehousing functions.
-Ensure consistent implementation of the CDC operating platform, which includes, warehousing, transportation, and coordination with Accounts Payable in both a centralized and decentralized environment.
-Responsible for ensuring the consistent operations of warehouse, transportation and distribution.
-Assist in preparation of annual warehouse operation budget.
-Maintain operating expenses based on an annual operating budget.
-Manage Disaster supplies, processes, insuring warehouse is prepared to support facilities in all Disasters.
-Meets regularly with Division and Facility Senior Leadership and provides Division, Facility and Companywide strategy related to the fulfillment operations.
-Raise and resolve facility based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities as it relates to warehouse service levels.
-Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed by the warehouse staff.
-Assist in inventory management as needed, including Bulk Buys, min/max analysis and physical inventory.
-Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, and other team members.
-Supervise physical inventory counts during annual inventory.
-Ensure warehouse operations meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines.
-Oversee the comprehensive Safety and Security program for the warehouse and logistics operations.
-Actively engages in leadership development opportunities and programs for all employees.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Technical skills – able to operate a fork lift vehicle and a motorized pallet jack

-Bachelor’s degree required. , preferably in Business Management, finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain.

-Five (5) years previous high level warehouse operations management experience
-Multi-Facility experience preferred
-Experience in healthcare distribution a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Maybe exposed to toxic/caustic/chemicals/detergents. Work is performed in an office, and in the pharmacy and hospital environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
