Job Summary – Responsible for Developing, Implementing and Improving facility-based Surgical and Specialty Services supply chain operations for HCA to include all supply related activities.  Define operational strategy, best practice policies and procedures to help implement a consistent program at an aggregate level while continuing to recognize the unique operational variables present throughout HCA’s facilities.  Develop and Implement a corporate structure that will assure collaboration and communication with HCA corporate CSG, OSG, Supply Chain Facility and Corporate Clinical teams to obtain feedback and gain agreement on operational process and practice.  
 
Duties (included but not limited to):
  • Develop and Lead strategic plans as they relate to Surgical and Specialty Services, including all activities focused on operational efficiencies and standardized clinical supply chain practices.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Key OSG/CSG stakeholders on OR and Cath. Lab Initiatives
  • Specifically lead and optimize the HCA Meditech supply functions to include Preference Card, Inventory management and Case Pick programs in all HCA Facilities
  • Design, Optimize and implement facility based Inventory processes focused on maintaining the highest level of care in our facilities.
  • Develop, Implement and Optimize facility based training programs as they relate to the OR and Cath. lab programs, focused on maintaining the highest level of service in our facilities.
  • Serve as resource responsible for directing efforts, developing requirements, and ensuring effective communication of Charge capture programs including maintaining consistent Standard Item Chargeable Attributes within HCA.
  • Support leadership and staff throughout HCA as a subject matter expert in the improvement of facility operations, assuring adherence to Supply Chain related regulatory compliance, while overseeing implementations of HCA Supply Chain projects.
  • Partner with IT&S and third party vendors to develop strategic direction, resolve system functionality issues, provide direction, design input, and support for implementation for Supply Chain systems.
  • Design, Optimize and Conduct facility based operational assessments to identify gaps in efficiencies and manage the facility back to the HCA Supply Chain model.
  • Implement facility based operational KPI’s to identify Operational improvement opportunities, gaps in efficiencies that would develop action plans to move the facility back to the HCA Supply Chain model.
  • Manage corporate Supply Chain staff as assigned
  • Responsible for facility based Supply Chain customer satisfaction

Job Requirements

Education
College graduate required.
 
Experience
7 years supply chain operations experience required. Surgical service operational focus preferred. Requires knowledge of healthcare and facility-based supply chain operations including industry trends, facility financials, inventory management, and technology solutions. Knowledge of supply chain information systems required.
