GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for working with the Division Supply Chain Team to implement the strategic direction of Supply Cost Management across multiple hospitals. This position is responsible for reviewing and optimizing the current GPO contract portfolio, developing comprehensive clinical and utilization protocols, developing and executing product standardization plan for the entire Division. This position is also responsible for recruiting, directing, managing and evaluating the facility Clinical Resource Directors. This position is responsible for building strategic alliances with Hospital Executive Staff, primarily the COO and CNO and Clinical Department Directors as it relates to successfully executing our Supply Chain Operations Plan.

SUPERVISOR: Division Supply Chain Officer

SUPERVISES: Clinical Resource Directors within the Division

LOCATION: The selected candidate will be working in Jacksonville, FL.

-Develops and implements strategies and processes for reducing supply expense/Adjusted Admission within the Division.
-Coordinates the activities of the Clinical Resource Directors within the division with emphasis on:
Product standardization and utilization
Identifying improvement opportunities and developing /implementing continuous quality improvement process regarding supply/labor practices and recommends cost reductions.
Monitoring, communicating, and making improvements to utilization profiling.
Collaboration with physicians in identifying and implementing improvements and standardization
-Maintains and communicates financial and performance measurements as gauge of standardization/utilization success.
-Measures and continuously verifies process improvements and cost savings.
-Develops and facilitates Divisional clinical product committees to reduce the number of SKUs by standardization, increase product quality, evaluate processes and introduce new products.
-Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Hospital Operations Background/Experience OR Supply Chain Background/Experience
-Clinical operational hospital or healthcare related experience (Operating Room, Cath Lab, or critical care, for example)
-Significant proven/successful leadership experience (CNO, ACNO, Director, etc.)
-Multi-facility (Integrated Delivery Network, IDN) experience desired
-Supply Chain background/experience from a clinical perspective preferred
-Supply Chain understanding preferred (if no direct supply chain background/experience)
-Demonstrated passion for building a clinically integrated supply chain
-Passion for supply chain operations

Educational and Credential Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree required (from a licensed program if nursing)
-Master’s degree (healthcare related field) preferred

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years healthcare experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. On a frequent basis; pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs. on occasion; required eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate clinical equipment, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment; requires some bending, stooping and stretching; requires normal range of hearing and eye sight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; exposure to toxic, caustic chemicals and detergent; exposure to dust, fumes and helicopters; repetitive arm/hand movements; acuity both far and near. Office environment with routine travel within the Division. Occasional evening or weekend work. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
