JOB SUMMARY – Responsible for negotiating industry leading nationalagreements for the group purchasing organization in the areas of healthcareconstruction, operations and maintenance. Objective is to ensure best in class industry pricing and contract termsand conditions. Position's key area of focus will be sourcing initiatives acrossconstruction and facility management categories with a mix of spend, complexityand distribution channels. The individual should possess knowledge orexperience in principles and concepts related to sourcing and contractmanagement. Knowledge of the construction and facility operations industry,organizations, suppliers and customers is required. Individual will follow standardprocesses and policies in analyzing situations and data and solve a range ofproblems.

• Ability to translate objectives intoproject planning priorities, create and manage work plans and timelines formultiple projects and priorities, and finalize negotiations in the time-framedesignated for the project

Understanding or aptitude to learn theproduct categories assigned and how clients and channel participants accessproducts and services.
• With guidance from leadership, individualmust be able to use knowledge about supplier to executive strategies, createleverage, and mitigate risks.
• The individual will develop thestrategy with the guidance with the leadership and team advisors. Individualwill seek guidance for risk issues and agreed upon risk mitigation strategies. Abilityto lead suppliers through strategy deployment.
• Under general supervision, theindividual is responsible for the sourcing process for their assignedportfolio. Including market research, bid preparation, RFI/RFP, contractnegotiations, and contract launch.   Ability to create
Forecasts and monitor accuracy whileapplying to bulk buy strategies.
• Individual's must possess solid presentationsskills and deliver in a well prepared, concise, and articulated manner.
• Oversee supplier relationship duringthe sourcing process. Participate in supplier business reviews and review newproducts/technologies as they arise in assigned categories. Collaborate withsuppliers to identify and implement total cost of ownership opportunities.
• Build stable working relationshipswith customers with interaction primarily being through member advisory/supplychain board presentations.
• Facilitate conversations with internalfunctional team during project kick-off to gather feedback, opinions, andalignment of resource needs to meet contracting initiative timelines
• Communication of bid process,negotiation status, agreement on terms, financial proposal concerns and othermatters with supplier and internal team
• Meet/exceed financial &operational goals in the annual contracting plan.
• Maintain timely achievement of allassigned sourcing initiatives ensuring activities adhere to all establishedpolicies and procedures and standards of business conduct.
• Resolve supplier and/or customerissues, as escalated by Portfolio Specialist.
• Maintain strong customer relationshipsand build trust and respect by consistently meeting or exceeding customerexpectations. Customers are internal and external. 

Job Requirements

• Accredited College Bachelor's Degreepreferred (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, and Finance)
• 5 to 10 years of relevant workexperience preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience in strategicsourcing and negotiating a variety of contracts in the Commercial and Indirectspace.
• Experience with Office Supplies,Toner, Paper Products, Jan/San Products, Forklift, Pallet or Packaging Supplyprocurement a plus.
