Job Description

GENERALSUMMARY OF DUTIES – TheSupply Chain Technician is responsible for receiving, keying, and promptlydistributing all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing andmaintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all otherstocking locations. The Supply Chain Technician is also responsible forconducting physical inventories of all POU areas according to the definedschedule.

• Deliversupplies in an accurate and timely manner

• Is authorizedto transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast mediaand drug-containing devices relative to core competencies of the position

• Place safetystock in proper location

• Receive expediteddeliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver toappropriate department(s)

• Receive allcross docked items into the SMART system as appropriate

• Review Min/Maxfor storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately

• Count par levelareas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule

• Ensure POUitems have the appropriate barcodes

• Perform QArandom checks on totes per approved policy

• Rotate stock inPOU areas and backup storeroom areas to ensure no items are out of date

• Checkafter-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence

• Reactappropriately to POU “critical point” messages and stock outs

• Process all“returns to vendor” or “returns to backup stock” appropriately

• Provideassistance to the POU Station personnel as well as provide assistance withproblems, questions and concerns at the nurse’s stations

• Handle allemergency supply situations

• Rotate “oncall” as appropriate

• Perform otherduties as assigned

• Practice andadhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

Job Requirements

EDUCATION- High school diplomaor GED is required

EXPERIENCE- Previous stock clerkexperience is helpful

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE – Fork Lift certification may be required.

PHYSICALDEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS –Mustbe able to stand and walk for long periods of time; sitting for short periodsof time. Requires ability to push and pull a variety of carts and materialhandling equipment. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch andreach frequently. Must be able to make substantial movements of the wrists,hands, and fingers. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexteritysufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and otheroffice equipment. Requires ability to touch and differentiate textures andtemperatures. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare,and communicate reports through written and verbal means. Must be able to exertup to 100 lbs. of force (push/pull) and75 lbs. of force (push/pull) frequentlyto move objects, and lifting papers or boxes up to 50 lbs. frequently. Work maybe performed in an office, patient care areas, as well as, a stockroom/supply roomenvironment. Work may be stressful at times. Staff must remain flexible andavailable to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergencysituations.
