JOBSUMMARY
Responsiblefor negotiating industry leading national agreements for the group purchasingorganization in the area of Nursing. Objective is to ensure best in classindustry pricing and contract terms and conditions through negotiation. Position'skey area of focus will be sourcing initiatives that are primarily categorieswith low to medium spend, complexity, risk and sensitivity. Position may havesome responsibility for other types of categories for the purposes ofdevelopment and workload allocation.
 

  • Abilityto translate objectives into project planning priorities, create and managework plans and timelines for multiple projects and priorities, and finalizenegotiations in the time-frame designated for the project

  • Withguidance from manager, Individual must be able to use knowledge about supplierto executive strategies, create leverage, and mitigate risks.  .
  • Undergeneral supervision, the individual is responsible for the sourcing process fortheir assigned portfolio.  Including market research, bid preparation,RFI/RFP, contract negotiations, and contract launch.
  • CAPcategory strategies and final awards must be presented and validated bycustomer-led Advisory Boards and a customer-led, executive-level Supply ChainBoard. 
  • Individual'sboard presentations must be well prepared, concise, and articulated clearly.
  • Overseesupplier relationship during the sourcing process.  Participate insupplier business reviews and review new products/technologies as they arise inassigned categories.
  • Buildstable working relationships with customers with interaction primarily beingthrough member advisory/supply chain board presentations.
  • Facilitateconversations with internal functional team during project kick-off to gatherfeedback, opinions, and alignment of resource needs to meet contractinginitiative timelines
  • Communicationof bid process, negotiation status, agreement on terms, financial proposalconcerns and other matters with supplier and internal team.
  • Meet/exceedfinancial & operational goals in the annual contracting plan.
  • Maintaintimely achievement of all assigned sourcing initiatives ensuring activitiesadhere to all established policies and procedures and standards of businessconduct.
  • Resolvesupplier and/or customer issues, as escalated by Portfolio Specialist.

Job Requirements

1 to 3years of relevant work experience preferred.  Ideal candidate will haveexperience in strategic sourcing and negotiating a variety of contracts in thearea of Nursing. Experience in: strategic sourcing, contract negotiation /management, materials management / purchasing, contracting financial analysis,and healthcare
