Supply Chain O.R. Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The OR Supply Chain Technician isresponsible for keying, and promptly putting away all supplies within the OR,reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max inventory levels, picking scheduledsurgical cases, as well as emergency supply requests. The OR Supply ChainTechnician is also responsible for conducting physical inventories of all POUareas according to the defined schedule.
SUPERVISOR – OR Materials Manager
INTERACTIONS - OR Staff/OR Materials Manager/ORInternal Control Coordinator, Supply Chain Department 
•       Receive, deliver, and put-away of allOR supplies in an accurate and timely manner, accurately key receiving into theSMART system, and deliver to appropriate department(s), and perform QA randomchecks on totes per approved policy
•       Picking both scheduled and emergentsurgical cases
•       Is authorized to transport and deliverlegend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug-containingdevices relative to core competencies of the position
•       Performs inventory management for theOR.  Evaluates the appropriate Min/Maxlevels, reviews Min/Max for storeroom stock daily and place ordersappropriately.  Count par level areas (POUareas) according to schedule.  Processesreturns appropriately per approved policy.
•       If applicable, ensure POU items havethe appropriate barcodes, rotate stock to ensure no items are out of date,react appropriately to POU “critical point” messages and stock outs, provideassistance to the POU Station personnel as well as provide assistance withproblems, questions and concerns
•       Works flexible, rotating shifts whenrequired
•       Practice and adhere to the “Code ofConduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
•       Other duties as assigned


This position requires the following minimalrequirements:

•       PC skills – demonstrates proficiency inMicrosoft Office applications and others as required
•       Basic skills – able to perform basicmathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly,spell correctly and transcribe accurately
•       Working knowledge of hospital supplies
Highschool diploma or GED is required
Previousstock clerk experience is helpful.  Somehospital supply experience preferred.
PHYSICALDEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Must beable to stand and walk for long periods of time; sitting for short periods oftime. Requires ability to push and pull a variety of carts and materialhandling equipment. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch andreach frequently. Must be able to make substantial movements of the wrists,hands, and fingers. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexteritysufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and otheroffice equipment. Requires ability to touch and differentiate textures andtemperatures. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare,and communicate reports through written and verbal means. Must be able to moveand/or lift up to 50 lbs. Work may be performed in an office, patient careareas, as well as, a stockroom/supply room environment. Work may be stressfulat times. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffingassistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, ortissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under whichanyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Personswho perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment toperform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or to be potentially exposedin some other way.
