THE POSITION:
  • Seeking a PRN- Facility SupplyChain Technician who demonstrates a passion for receiving and distributinghospital supplies across stockrooms on patient care floors.
  • Individual who takes pride inmonitoring levels of supplies and conducting inventory checks for replenishmentwith a high standard of accuracy.

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position requires thefollowing minimal requirements:

  • Basic skills – able to performbasic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuateproperly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.
EDUCATION
  • High schooldiploma or GED is required
EXPERIENCE
  • Previous stockclerk experience is helpful. Some hospital supply experience preferred.

PHYSICALDEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of time;sitting for short periods of time. Requires ability to push and pull a varietyof carts and material handling equipment. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel,bend, stretch and reach frequently. Must be able to make substantial movementsof the wrists, hands, and fingers. Requires eye-hand coordination and manualdexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator,and other office equipment. Requires ability to touch and differentiatetextures and temperatures. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight torecord, prepare, and communicate reports through written and verbal means. Mustbe able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds. Work may be performed in anoffice, patient care areas, as well as, a stockroom/supply room environment.Work may be stressful at times. Staff must remain flexible and available toprovide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
