Job Summary – The Implant Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing implant warehouse inventories, while achieving the division implant service level goals. The Implant Inventory Coordinator is responsible for all implant handling and overseeing workflow and warehouse functions for the implant stock.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
-Maintain accurate implant and bulk buy inventory levels with an emphasis on service levels and cost containment.
-Analyze implant and bulk buy product expiration dates on a monthly basis and report short-dated product to Logistics Manager and vendor.
-Work proactively with vendor to ensure short-dated product is exchanged in a timely manner.
- Work with facility SCD’s to manage and optimize implant and bulk buy inventory levels at each division facility
-Utilize system reports and knowledge of warehouse activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
-Assist with warehouse functions as needed.
-Ensure that all inventory policies relating to implants are followed.
-Calculate quantities recorded for quarterly bulk purchases and obtain approvals.
-Monitor implant and bulk buy inventory levels to identify stock out situations.
-Facilitate excess or non-moving inventory reduction by returning excess products to vendors timely and/or transferring product to other warehouses or facilities as needed.
-Evaluate inventory levels, making adjustments to inventory min/max levels, safety stock, lead time and inventory formulas to ensure sufficient supply to meet customers’ needs. Work to minimize non-moving or slow moving inventory SKU’s in the CSC and facilities.
-Work to minimize inventory write-off’s due to expired or obsolete inventory in the CSC and facilities.
-Interface with and propose solutions to the Chief Operating Officer and Warehousing and Logistics Manager regarding all issue relating to implant and bulk buy inventory.
-Ensure all implant and bulk buy inventory is tracked according to policy and procedures and FDA regulations.
-Review and analyze all changes to product conversions, deletions and additions to determine impact on inventory requirements.
-Identify and analyze product trends by supplier and by SKU.
-Assist in product recalls as needed.
-Assist Purchasing and Accounts Payable staff in researching discrepancies as needed.
Manage effective communication with customers, co-workers and other team members.
-Ensure cycle counts are performed and assist when needed.
-Supervise physical implant and bulk buy inventory counts during semi-annual inventory.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Organization – proactively prioritizes and effectively manages resources
-PC skills – demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and others as required. Intermediate Excel skill level required. Knowledge of database systems and moving data between multiple formats preferred.
-Quantitative and analysis skills – Understand stochastic EOQ order inventory models. Proficiency with stochastic forecasting models preferred.
-Customer orientation – establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
-Tactical execution – oversees the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and processes
-Project management – assesses work activities and allocates resources appropriately
-Policies and procedures – articulates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
-Basic skills- able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately

-High School Diploma or GED required
-Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Healthcare Administration or similar disciplines preferred.

-Experience forecasting inventory requirements and trends
-3 to five years of material management distribution experience or equivalent required
-Med/Surge distribution experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to toxic/caustic/chemicals/detergents. Work is performed in an office, and in the pharmacy and hospital environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
