Manager, Development Programs - Supply Chain

JOB SUMMARY –

The Manager of Development Programs position isresponsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needsand the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate theprofessional development and continuous learning of team members, particularlyexecutives and emerging leaders. The role drives standardized execution of the AssociateDirector programs (ADSC/ACRD) and other key programs designed for divisionsupply chain high-potential employees. Working closely with the corporatebusiness teams, Supply Chain CEO’s and their field-based teams, this roleprovides strategic direction and management for development programs to supporta strong leadership pipeline for the supply chain enterprise.

DUTIES –  

  • Manageframework to define career pathways and desired leadership pipeline (benchstrength) to align respective competency development across the supply chainenterprise.
  • Workcollaboratively with corporate supply chain leaders and division CEO’s todesign targeted competency development programs for emerging leaders within theorganization.
  • Apply leadershipinsights and learning to best understand the organization’s succession planningstrategy and potential growth or attrition impact on supply chain workforce.
  • Lead thedesign, development, and implementation of programs, policies, and strategiestailored to meet competency development goals.
  • Developcustom training materials that integrate adult learning theory, interactiveactivities, simulations, job aids and competency-based assessments andevaluations (reaction, learning and application, behavior) to operationalizecore competency behaviors and performance.
  • Facilitateselect training sessions for development programs, and assigns Facilitator(s)to support training events across multiple locations
  • MonitorADSC/ACRD curriculum dashboard to ensure compliance to standardized activitiesincluding validation documentation and provide quarterly progress reports toexecutive sponsors.
  • Hostmonthly ADSC/ACRD education calls and record attendance, minutes, andpresentation content.
  • CoachADSC/ACRD participants and SCD/DCRD Ambassadors on intended learning outcomesand behaviors to meet and exceed desired performance and leadership competency.
  • Assessand analyze development program results and feedback to provide creative andinnovative solutions and coaching sessions.
  • Partnerwith corporate and division leadership teams and subject matter experts to promoteand operationalize leadership development opportunities.
  • Produceannual development program plans with key internal stakeholders to ensurecollective leadership input and alignment.
  • Make aconcerted effort to stay abreast of supply chain operations andorganizational/industry changes that may impact employee development.
  • Measurelearning outcomes, knowledge transfer, and performance improvement throughqualitative and quantitative data analysis and share with leadership teams for feedbackand potential enhancements to programs.
  • Communicatetraining events, results, and opportunities to supply chain enterprise toengage employees in learning and development.
  • Activelyseek feedback from all development program sponsors and participants to keepcommunications open and timely.
  • Research andparticipate in various learning & development programs, groups oractivities that will enable continued development of his/her technical skillsand healthcare supply chain related knowledge. 


Job Requirements

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degreerequired
 
EXPERIENCE         

  • Minimumof 7 years of experience working with organizational development or executivecoaching in a large organization or functional business unit.
  • Experiencewith design, development and implementation of staff or employee training.
  • Experience in a “matrixreporting” environment preferred.
  • Proven track record for meeting or exceeding businessobjectives and goals.
  • MS Office, SharePoint,and Learning Management System proficiency

 
CERTIFICATE / LICENSE

Certified training facilitator or curriculumdesign certification (DDI, VitalSmarts preferred)
