Job Description

Job Summary – The PharmaceuticalHandler is responsible for ensuring that all product that enters or leaves thepharmacy does so in an organized, timely and efficient manner and under properstorage and labeling conditions. They will be the lead on all shipping andreceiving activities. Responsible for supervising daily operations to ensurethat deadlines are adhered to and all product is shipped in accordance withwarehouse schedule and pharmacy policies and procedures. Receiving leadfunctions include making sure that all product is received appropriately andput away in a timely fashion.

Duties (included but not limited to):
-Ensure proper packaging, labeling and staging of facility orders
-Coordinate and run daily WMS operations
-Supervise daily operations’ schedule to make sure all items are ready andstaged in the warehouse on time.
-Process, pick, pack, and stage all customer orders when needed
-Check in weekly order and supervise the put away process
-Responsible for the let down process to ensure that sufficient quantities ofproduct are in the pick location.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy storage areas
-Advise inventory analyst of out‐of‐stock or short dated items upon discoveryand rotate stock as necessary
-Ensure all shipments are labeled correctly
-Maintain distribution pull list files
-Conduct routine cycle counts upon request
-Maintain effective communication with customers, co‐workers, and other teammembers
-Maintain all material handling equipment and report any potential problems
-Perform physical inventory counts during semi‐annual inventory
-Meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines

Job Requirements

EDUCATION
-High School Diploma or GED preferred

EXPERIENCE
-One year previous Distribution Clerk experience
-Computer experience preferred
-SMART and WMS experience preferred

-Policies & Procedures – demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
-Basic skills – able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately
-Skill in operating a fork lift vehicle.
-Technical skills – able to operate a fork lift vehicle and a motorized pallet jack.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye‐hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids).
