JobSummary: This position provides analytical support to corporate, division andfacility staff by preparing and analyzing various operational and financialreports, working closely with pharmacy leadership to support division-leveldecisions and pharmacy data management. The Pharmacy Analyst is responsible for activelyparticipating in the analysis of multiple aspects of the BI lifecycle fromrequirements to data analysis, report analysis, and understanding of businessprocesses, specific to the development of reports within Supply Chain FinancialOperations.  Requiring technicalawareness, this analytically-focused position is responsible for theinterpretation and understanding of information systems used to serve thebusiness and to drive pharmacy expense savings. Participates in agile executionof the product lifecycle, supportingthe development of solutions andgoals and is responsible for ensuring quality of delivered products. 
Duties(included but not limited to):

  • Participatein analysis of multiple aspects of the BI lifecycle from requirements to dataanalysis, report analysis, and understanding of business processes.
  • ProduceBI solution designs that meet business requirements in a manner consistent withcompany and industry standards.
  • Ensurea standardized and consistent approach relating to BI participation andimplementation of Data Governance, Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics.
  • Provideassistance for BI reporting solutions, potentially including: engaging injoint-analysis with application development teams, assisting user adoption,documenting and communicating standards and procedures.
  • Presentdata formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data outputs.
  • Participatein multi-disciplinary teams to use data in improving usage and operationalworkflow.
  • Assistin development of best practice recommendations for pharmacy procurementprocedures to optimize contracts
  • Identifydrug cost variances on a monthly basis and develop ongoing action plans tobetter manage those factors
  • Performmiscellaneous pharmacy purchasing cost analyses
  • Monitortrends in facility utilization of reverse distributors including SKU reductionopportunities
  • Demonstratelearning agility by utilizing internal and external training opportunities tocross train on Business Intelligence tools and database platforms such as: PowerBI, Tableau, Business Objects, Teradata, and SQL Server 
  • Collaboratewith other internal team members to integrate solutions where additional datais required
  • Growprofessionally to assume greater responsibilities for the activities listedabove and demonstrate hands-on technical capability for development projects

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’sDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required
  • Minimumof 3 years of progressively-responsible experience in a technical and/oranalytics-based environment required
  • Experiencein a Supply Chain related field or Pharmacy experience preferred
