THE POSITION:
Job Summary – The Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist is responsible for participating and leading pharmacy clinical or operational programs. This includes monitoring patient medication regimens and providing appropriate interventions. The Clinical Specialist shall also assist in mentoring pharmacy staff and students and assist in the evaluation and implementation of clinical/operational programs.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, a Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy is preferred
•At least one of the following:
o Minimum of 1 year experience as Advanced Clinical Pharmacist or at least 5 years of general hospital pharmacy experience required; preferably within area of focus
oCompletion of hospital PGY2/ pharmacy general practice residency or fellowship
oSpecialty BCPS certification
oOther certification (e.g. FCCP, FASHP


CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
• ACLS certification may be required for critical care/ED specialists
