Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Responsible for general accounting functions including financial reporting of CSC operations and support of allocation to thehospitals.
 
SUPERVISOR:  CSC Controller
 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOTLIMITED TO:
  • Maintain General Ledger
    • Prepare monthly journal entries,analyses and account reconciliationsas requiredto accuratelyclose the monthly fiscal period.
    • Prepare detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports to support CSC management in the review of monthly operating performance and allocation.
  • Compile monthly statistics and key indicators for each supply chain.
  • Collect supply chain cost allocation data and review for accuracy.
  • Translate data into meaningful management reports and submittoCSC Controller.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all BalanceSheet accounts, including documentation to supportallbalances.
  • Compile budget & performance data and participate in detailed review of annual operating budgets and performanceprojections.
  • Develop spreadsheet and database tools to analyzeexisting and ongoing operations.
  • Perform timely internal compliance audits for Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Payroll andTreasury as directed and maintain ongoing documentation.
  • Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistentlyachieved.
  • Respond to requests for information from Corporate, Internal Audit, Hospitalmanagement and other internalmanagement.
  • Ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded againstdisclosure.
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct”philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

Job Requirements



EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldrequired. Minimum of two years experience.
  • Minimum two years of relevant accounting and finance reporting experiencemay be substituted for educationrequirement.
 

EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of Accounting/Finance experience required
  • Relevant education may substitute experience requirement

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping andstretching. Requires eye-handcoordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other officeequipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesightto record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.
