Job Summary – The Supervisor of InformationManagement will be managing work queue, strategic projects and supervise staff dedicatedto reference data management. The role will be responsible for Categorization activitiesrelated to GPO Operations, Spend Analytics and Supply Chain Operations.
Duties (included but not limited to):
Team Leadership:

  • Responsiblefor the day-to-day team leadership, operational support for the InformationAnalyst team and internal business units.
  • Help analyst prioritizeand manage work queue by aligning to strategic organization and department initiatives.
  • Mentor, coachand motivate team to meet project milestones at high quality standards.
  • Leads effortsfor training new and existing staff on learning new processes and tools to helpimprove productivity and data quality.
  • Develop teammetrics to track team productivity, quality and work distribution.
  • Build and strengthenrelationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Help analyst prioritizetheir work queue and align to strategic organization initiatives.

InformationManagement and Analytics:

  • Responsiblefor the clinical, financial and portfolio review process of item categorizationof Medical/Surgical, Medical Device and Purchased Services Categorizedreference data.
  • Collaboratewith various internal business units to understand data needs, specific tocategorization.
  • Supportefforts to standardize item data attributes, including item categorization,item descriptions, units of measures and other critical data item attributes.
  • Provides dataanalysis for multiple business groups both internal and external.
  • Lead effortsto improve member spend recognition rates by creating business rules and QAresults.
  • Maintainssystem protocols by writing and updating business processes and procedures.
  • Maintainsprofessional and/or technical knowledge by attending educational workshops andonline classes.
  • Works withbusiness and technology teams to assist in designing new systems andapplications for business by analyzing requirements.
  • Preparesreports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

ProjectManagement / Process Improvements:

  • Define andmanage project requirements by identifying project milestones, track tasks, escalaterisk/issues and communicate status to leadership.
  • Evaluateopportunities to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness ofprocesses and outcomes. 
  • Ability toquickly understand current business challenges and recommend opportunities tostreamline process.
  • Recommend controlsby identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
  • Maintain userconfidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent work experience required
Minimum 2-5years of team lead experience preferred. Experience in Supply Chain(Medical/Surgical data, Medical Devices) or Healthcare industry datarecommended. Data management principles and data analysis experience preferred.
