Job Description

Position will be located at St. Luke’s Heath System in Meridian, ID.
 
JOB SUMMARY- The Supply Chain Analyst will work directly related to support the Supply Chain business and analytic operations of St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian, ID, within the framework of HealthTrust as its contracted GPO. Gathering relevant supporting data and information, analyzing market and research information, participating in the formulation and development of valuation approaches and models, and assisting in preparation of reporting documents. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Spend analytics processing using St. Luke’s Health spend analytics system and/or materials management system
  • Contract product category data identification using St. Luke’s Health spend analytics system and/or materials management system
  • Conducts vendor market share analysis and facility contract utilization
  • Contacts vendors to cross-reference non contract items for conversion opportunities
  • Collaboratively develops strategy, communication and analysis of HealthTrust contracts in preparation for review by Clinical Resource Management and Supply Chain Leadership at St. Luke’s Health
  • Collaborates and communicates with HealthTrust Account Director to support and achieve compliance with HealthTrust contracted vendors
  • Completes reporting analytics for facility contract compliance and utilization
 
DUTIES (included but not limited to)
  • Assist in the documentation of cost savings from the implementation of contracts
  • Research and provide resolution of issues arising from contract coordination
  • Work with vendors, local system staff and account representative to clarify contract tier access, contract price effective date and conflicts between representatives and local contracts
  • Contact vendors, obtain pricing/quotes, and utilize pricing analysis programs and reports back to designated supply chain leadership. 
  • Understand financial operations and work with all levels of assigned areas, including finance, clinical management, and colleagues to ensure the accuracy of the analysis
  • Develop and produce reports as required

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong organizational and process analysis skills are required. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in multiple technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Office with Advanced MS Excel skills, MicroStrategy and other dashboard/analytical tools. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlines. Proven ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed. Ability to work within two distinct health system’s processes and cultures as well as managing a matrix environment reporting to three different supervisors.
 
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred areas of study are business, finance, accounting, or economics.
 
EXPERIENCE  
3-5 years of related job experience required. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with large data sets preferred. Healthcare purchasing or analytics experience and medical product knowledge preferred.
