Job Summary- The Consultant will be able to actively participate in and lead portions of an engagement while demonstrating the value of Supply Chain Consulting solutions through improved productivity and decreased supply chain costs.  This position interfaces directly with Providers to improve their supply chain processes, increase cost savings, and create repeatable processes.  Additionally, this resource will document the savings and identify incremental process improvement opportunities. 
 
Position requires up to 50% travel.
 
This role primarily serves as a consulting role to assess, design, and deliver operational improvement services, which include the ability to:
  • Meet and build relationships with senior managers (VP of Supply Chain, Director of Materials Management, Purchasing Manager, Payables Manager, etc.) by presenting and discussing industry trends, best in class strategies, and gaining buy in for consulting services. 
  • Develop process improvement plans to address the identified opportunities
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions to implement identified change management initiatives
  • Direct client collection of qualitative and quantitative data to assess current processes, benchmark against best practice metrics, and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead client discussions and meetings to present analysis and facilitate client decision making in order to select improvement tactics.
  • Support Account Executives, Sales, Product Management and Marketing to identify and address customer needs
  • Create solutions to client problems and monitor engagement progress.
  • Create, review and approve support documentation, work plans, and other deliverables.
  • Coordinate client assignments: monitor client satisfaction, assure engagement efficiency and quality, and manage continuous improvement process.
  • Engage subject matter experts for best demonstrated practices and apply them to client projects

Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
 
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience with healthcare supply chain or healthcare industry experience. Preferred 2 years supply chain consulting experience. Requires the following: knowledge of industry leading practices and key metrics, understanding of healthcare operations and strong analytical ability to identify processes and determine how to create process improvement opportunities.
