Job Summary

The Consultant actively participates in and leads portions of an engagement while demonstrating the value of Supply Chain Consulting solutions through improved productivity and decreased supply chain costs. This position interfaces directly with Providers to improve their supply chain processes, increase cost savings, and create repeatable processes. Additionally, this resource will document the savings and identify incremental process improvement opportunities.

Includes up to 50% travel.

This role primarily serves as a consulting role to assess, design, and deliver operational improvement services, which include the ability to:

  • Meet and build relationships with senior managers (VP of Supply Chain, Director of Materials Management, Purchasing Manager, Payables Manager, etc.) by presenting and discussing industry trends, best in class strategies, and gaining buy in for consulting services.
  • Develop process improvement plans to address the identified opportunities.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions to implement identified change management initiatives.
  • Direct client collection of qualitative and quantitative data to assess current processes, benchmark against best practice metrics, and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead client discussions and meetings to present analysis and facilitate client decision making in order to select improvement tactics.
  • Engage subject matter experts for best demonstrated practices and apply them to client projects.

Job Requirements

Education andExperience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with healthcare supply chain or related healthcare industry experience to include an understanding of operations.
  • 2 years supply chain consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated project management and deliverable creation
  • Strong analytical ability to identify processes and determine how to create process improvement opportunities
