Job Summary – Work with other Internal Business Owners and external vendors  to optimize freight spend for all company hospitals and consolidated warehouses.  Perform in-depth analysis of freight spend and operational data to identify opportunities and make recommendations. Develops and delivers reporting to leadership.
Duties (included but not limited to):
  • Continue to enhance business intelligence by utilizing new enterprise tools for creating reporting and analytics that meet customer needs
  • Monitor and maintain key operational and freight expense performance measures
  • Identify vendor compliance opportunities and drive high compliance
  • Identify new vendor conversion opportunities
  • Coordinate new vendor conversion opportunities with vendors
  • Work to optimize freight mode with facilities
  • Work with appropriate leadership teams to understand, develop, and communicating freight expense data requests/reports
  • Interpret and present data for decision-making needs                                         
  • Recommend to leadership areas of improvement and assist in driving results
  • Streamline/automate reporting efforts for Supply Chain Services through collaboration with EDW team and/or own Business Objects skill set
  • Complete monthly freight operating reports and presentations for leadership review
  • Participate in operational performance reviews on an as needed basis
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Freight Management

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
2-3 years of data analytics experience including proven ability to analyze and interpret voluminous data, and research and prepare comprehensive reports. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint) and Business Objects. Experience in managing freight preferred.
