Job Summary – The purpose of this position is to assume/manage all elements of customer relationship with large IDN member.  Responsibilities include collaborating with IDN leadership to develop, direct and execute GPO onboarding and ongoing supply expense management plan, leading service line directors, account management and additional support staff.  Executive will establish a regular reporting cadence to IDN and GPO leadership to ensure that all elements of implementation and supply expense management plan are being accomplished, and will provide regular status reports to IDN and GPO leadership.   Account Executive is responsible for collaborating with IDN to establish implementation plan and coordinating all efforts of HealthTrust implementation team.  Annually, executive will work with IDN supply chain and financial leadership to develop a supply expense management plan. 
Executive will coordinate and manage effort of service line directors who are primarily responsible for the review and optimization of HealthTrust contracts, implementation of new contracts, identification of standardization and utilization opportunities, and (where applicable) the negotiation of custom contracts.  In addition to supply expense management, implementation and account management, Executive will establish, execute and manage any consulting or outsourced engagements required to support supply chain operational agenda of IDN.
This individual is responsible for building strategic relationships and ongoing alliances with Regional Leadership, Hospital Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers as it relates to successfully executing our Supply Chain Operations Plan.    

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University with concentration in business administration, economics, finance, or related field.  Graduate degree (MBA or MHA) preferred.
15 years’ cumulative relevant experience, with at least seven years of hospital management experience in either an administrative, Financial, or Supply Chain/ Materials Management leadership capacity. Multi-facility or system leadership experience highly preferred. Extensive knowledge of healthcare and/or Supply Chain/ Materials Management. Advanced computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Software skills with data warehouse and/or Micro Strategies highly preferred.
None required but certification in Supply Chain viewed favorably.
