THE POSITION:
  • Seeking a full-time warehouse shift supervisor who isresponsible for supervising personnel, assigning workflow.
  • Oversee all warehouse functions and staff while working inthe various functions.
  •  Receive products, processcredits, replenish stock, and pick orders as needed in order to ensure theoperation is meeting its customer’s requirements.
  •  Provide warehousetraining to all new employees.
  •  Ensure all policiesand procedures are being followed by the warehouse staff.
  •  Assist in inventorymanagement.
  •  Ensure warehousestorage areas are clean and organized.
  •  Ensure all shipmentsare labeled correctly.
  •  Maintain files of allappropriate documentation (delivery tickets, pick lists, maintenance logs etc).
  •  Assist Purchasing andAccounts Payable staff in researching receiving discrepancies.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts as specified.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, co-workers,and other team members.
  • Ensure all periodic maintenance is performed timely on allmaterial handling equipment.
  • Perform physical inventory counts during semi-annualinventory.
  • Meet all department mandated timeframes and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to stand and walk forlong periods of time; sitting for short periods of time. Requires ability topush and pull a variety of carts and material handling equipment. Must be ableto climb, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch and reach frequently. Must be able tomake substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Requires eye-handcoordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard,photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requiresability to touch and differentiate textures and temperatures. Requires normalrange of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate reportsthrough written and verbal means. Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50lbs. Work may be performed in an office, patient care areas, as well as, astockroom/supply room environment. Work may be stressful at times.
